Emilie joined THRIVE in 2022. She completed her bachelor’s degree in Community Studies at the University of California, Santa Cruz in 2004 and her master’s degree in Social Work at the University of Utah in 2012.
She is passionate about local and global fieldwork and has spent time in Kenya researching the human-wildlife conflict, visiting Burmese refugee camps in Thailand, and working with grassroots organizations in Massachusetts and California.
She utilizes a holistic approach to trauma treatment with special training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and biofeedback modalities. Emilie also has experience working in areas of substance abuse, veteran homelessness, and those in the correctional system.
