Executive Assistant


Sophie is a communications professional and community advocate with experience in local government and non-profit management. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Communications with and emphasis in Civic Advocacy from Weber State University in 2023. After graduating with her bachelor’s degree, Sophie moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where she obtained a Master of Science in Communication for Development and Social Change from Temple University in 2024.

Throughout her studies and professional career, Sophie has worked on developing several community advocacy projects and outreach campaigns, including organizing a neighborhood walking campaign with the Ogden Civic Action Network and working with Temple Health to raise awareness about the importance of lung cancer screenings for residents in the North Philadelphia area.

At THRIVE, Sophie assists with grant application and management, volunteer coordination, education and advocacy efforts, and variety of other administrative tasks. Sophie says that working with THRIVE has further solidified her beliefs in the power of diversity, empathy, and the importance of mental and physical health advocacy.
